The bachelor's thesis entitled Subjective perception of workload and fatigue of nurses deals with the issue and perception of the degree of workload, stress and fatigue of nurses. The aim of the thesis is to determine the subjective perceptions of workload of selected groups of nurses and then to evaluate the results of the research and suggest recommendations for practice. The theoretical part of the thesis contains a basic overview of the individual knowledge on the subject, describes the types of workload and fatigue and points out its consequences and prevention. The empirical part contains the results of our own research using a standardized Meister questionnaire. Furthermore, the results of the own investigation were compared with the results of other similar research on a similar topic. The method of the survey was a self-constructed survey, which was supplemented with the Meister questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to nurses employed at Motol Hospital in intensive care beds. The sample consisted of 94 respondents. Results: Considering the perceived burden, it was found that 44 % of the respondents felt that they did not have sufficient knowledge of relaxation techniques and activities to reduce the burden. Conclusion: Based on the results of the survey, I consider it more than...
Studium faktorů ovlivňujících stanovení energetického příjmu a výdeje u koní
Slámová, Kateřina
The diploma thesis deals with the determination of the energy contained in the feed ration of horses and the evaluation of whether the energy supply is sufficient in regard to the maintenance energy requirements and their workload. The research was conducted for 28 days in 6 horses of warm-blooded breeds - 5 mares and 1 gelding with an average weight of 561.5 ± 36.6 kg and BCS (Body Conditional Scoring) grade 5 to 6. Control weighing was compared with the formula that uses body measurements to calculate horse weight. The estimated weight determined by the calculation seems to be underestimated by an average of 58.05 ± 15.69 kg. Based on the determination of weight by weighing, 5 formulas for determining maintenance energy were assessed. The average maintenance energy of horses is 73.2 MJ ± 4.42 MJ, i. e. 130 kJ/kg in weight. To calculate energy expenditure during physical exercise, 5 formulas were used using data obtained from the Polar Equine RC3 GPS device (heart rate, distance, speed, time). According to the results, the individual energy needs for exercise (DE) in horses increased from 7.30 ± 2.34 MJ/day to 20.05 ± 3.17 MJ/day, depending on the formula. Horse´s intake of digestible energy (DE) in feed ration was an average of 102 ± 7.94 MJ per day. In the final comparison, the combination of the formula from Zeman et al. (2005) for the maintenance and formula for exercise based on Harris (2001), was the most suitable for determining the necessary digestible energy (DE) intake from the feed ration.
A Review of Relevant Regulations, Requirements and Assessment Methods Concerning Physical Load in Workplaces in the Slovak Republic
Makovicka Osvaldova,Linda ; Sventekova,Eva ; Maly, Stanislav ; Dlugos, Ivan
This review brings an overview of the Slovak regulations concerning occupational safety and health at work (OSH) primarily considering the parameter of physical load. In addition to regulations, this article focuses on particular requirements at workplaces with an increased physical load and describes the permissible values of the physical load (see tables). Attention is given to assessing the working posture and handling of loads. The main purpose of the evaluation is to determine the parameters of physical load, which is the first important step in the process of health risk assessment. Based on the physical load assessment and the categorization of tasks for the physical load factor in the Slovak Republic, further steps and measures should be taken to improve working conditions, to reduce the workload, number of health problems, fatigue, and ultimately to prevent accidents at work and work-related musculoskeletal diseases.

Submitted bachelor's thesis deals with comparing of the results of entrance exams and credits. It applies between three classes, some of them was affected by COVID-19 and some of them was not. The main aim of this thesis is thorough comparation of the performances between classes. Partial goal is to compare improvements or deteriorations of the credit requirements in athletics and swimming compared to entrance exams results performered by 3rd class. The research includes results of students of the Department of Physical Education and Sport at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. Students between the age of 19 to 25, both men and women. I took a use of archived documents and informations which were provided to me in cooperation with the teachers. Using Microsoft Excel program the data were evaluated. The differences values were calculated in percentages for better clarity. The results showed that students doing the entrance exams during the pandemic performed worse than students who did the entrance exams without any restrictions. Furthermore it was shown that students admitted without entrance exams performer worse in athletics credit requirement, which was 100 m run, than students admitted based on their performances in entrance exams. In the last aspect we were interested in was...
Motivation and connotation of the flow effect in school-aged children finswimming
ŠVANDOVÁ, Marie
The theme of this thesis is finswimming as a leisure and performance activity - comparison of motivational factors in both training areas. The work is diveded into two parts. The first part is theoretical, in which is further described the finswimming sport, limiting motivational factors affecting children, who are engaged in this sport; and other factors, which during the training process have a motivating effect on the children or, on contrary, demotivate them. The training process is divided into two areas focused on leisure and performance activity. The empirical part of this thesis, within which also deals with this topic research was implemented in the form of a questionnaire method. Motivational factors of children and their coaches were inquired. This work describes the established reality and puts it into context. The results are expressed in graphs. This is a pilot cross-sectional study that can serve both to deeper research and to streamline coaching practice in the given area.
The effect of extreme physical exertion on the percentage of dendritic cell subpopulations in professional athletes as correlated with change in adrenaline levels
Fischerová, Barbara ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Radvanský, Jiří (referee)
The main goal of this tesis is to describe changes in representation of various subpopulations dendritic cells (myelogenic and plasmocytoigenic) in peripheral blood after intense physical stress and to review their activation status. Early count changes and changes of function of basic elements of cellular immunity after a sport load was described, whereas a behaviour of circulating dendritic cells hasn't been studied yet. The amount and the stage of differentation of dendritic cells was specified by analysis of blood samples taken before and after the load. According to the result of the tesis the reaction to extreme physical load had two effects. The amount of dendritic cells was increased, whilst the expression of kostimulative molecules (their activation) was decreased. Described changes support an opinion, that physical load initates reaction to a danger of body damage. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Nursing Care of Seniors in Intensive Care Unit-ICU and Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation Unit-ARU
Svitáková, Jana ; Hošťálková, Monika (advisor) ; Mrákava, Vlastimil (referee)
General nurses in their proffesion provide nursing care to patients of different age groups. Quite frequently represented group are seniors. This fact is due to the increase in life expectancy, medical advances and polymorbidity of seniors, which is often the cause of their hospitalization. Nursing care for seniors is particularly challenging due to the occurence of many geriatric symptoms, restriction of cognitive functions and inabillity to self care. Much more difficult situation occurs, if the state of geriatric patient requires care in ARO (Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation) or ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Identification of problem areas in intensive nursing care for seniors leads to infer the possible measures for practice. In terms of this thesis quantitative research was carried out using a questionnaire survey. Research group consisted of general nurses from departments of intensive care, thus professional intesive care units (ICU) and department of anesthesiology and resuscitation. Out of the total number of 120 distributed questionnaires (100 %) returned 94 usable questionnaires (78,33 %). Realization of research survey was conducted in February 2012. The thesis consists of two parts, the practical and theoretical. The main objective was to map the problem of providing nursing...
